Hello All, we are on a shoot using a 10' crane and my Redmote loses 'connection when it reaches about 7 foot up. You stand directly behind the camera and I can back away for nearly 15' before it loses connection. However, when it lifting on the crane it suddenly goes out-- just beyond where I can reach up and start or stop. This is a problem since we have no other way to control the camera. Plus it is embarrasing. I'll be contacting Red in the morning, but for now dose anybody have a quick fix?

The new version have much longer range - like TONS. The old ones were like that unfortunately.

Small comfort to those of us who were beta testers for these bricks.

As far as I know my Redmote is a newer version, received about a month ago. Have really needed to use it till last night and it caused some major headaches and won NO fans. This thing failed us big time. Have spent the entire day try to get it work because we have more of the same on Sat. Have called Red and spoke with a tech with no luck. Any suggestions are graciously welcome.
