I'm a big fan of Lynne Ramsay - her work has a very image driven lyrical style - complex but never extravagant. For "We Need To Talk About Kevin" she uses 35mm anamorphic (film) to beautifully portray the battles and horror of a life gone very wrong. 5D imagery is intercut for flashback/memories quite effectively. And the acting is stellar. A filmmaker's film in many ways.
