wow, is it that hard to automate the whole thing? reading all the instructions makes me nauseous (not being a real computer guy)

edit: okay, once you get the procedure it's really easy

I'm having some major dramas doing transcodes in Adobe Media Encoder from R3D to DNxHD. I have a whole batch of clips ready to be converted - when I start the queue, the first one goes through with no problems, but all the following ones are completely corrupted with artifacts. If I stop and start the queue again, the next clip in the queue renders perfectly, and then the following ones go back to artifacts.

Is anyone else seeing anything similar?

    I'm on Win 7 Professional x64

Brad, not that this addresses your issue, but i ALWAYS have problems in AME....just getting it going and waiting sometimes 5 mins to start. I'm quite certain there are a number of bugs here and there with all as much load as is on the system and also with all the 3rd party devices....at any rate, no answer nor excuse. But i've been in transcode hell as well. Sometimes i just to to software only and then sometimes GPU....but you are not alone in transcode hell with AME...i find it all works brilliant for a clip or two, but run an entire 50min program though it and be prepared.

    I hear you Johnny!

I was really hoping to be able to use AME on this one as it's so much better optimized for multithreaded work than RedCine-X. In AME, all my cores are pegged out at 100% almost constantly. In RedCine-X I'm only sitting on 30% CPU usage. On my current job, that's the difference between one days worth of rendering and a few days :P

Brad, preaching to the choir on that one....i feel your blood dripping away on this....i spent SEVERAL 24 hour sessions waiting for my transcodes.....good luck. I've been all over the bug/feature request site...but start to feel like a cockroach in buckingham palace.

    Hi,

I installed the new Red importer on my macbook pro CS6 and i have a big improvment with audio that does not need calculation before playing BUT i have also problem with sound when i hit the playbar, the sound stop at 5 or 6 sec. So, it make hard to edit and i am not sure to stay with this version of the Red importer.

It is not as simple as it looks... It is very easy to use the wrong folder.
You have to be quiet and very attention to do the switch. With CS6 I made a bad melting of the importer and I worked bad. Do it in the right manner and it works perfectly.

What worked for me, was to search the files by name on my Mac, and then replaced the two. No problems here. No idea how the Windows version work. Good luck.
