What is the Decimator 2 for? Do you have any HDSDI input/output or does it use HDMI as connector?
I think you'll be sold out in soon... ;-)

Here's some info and a link to buy it at Hot Rod - http://www.hotrodcameras.com/?produc...d-wireless-kit
Congrats, Dan for getting this out! Looks like a great product
Thanks for that link Steven.
Pre ordered & paid for.
I have faith :-)
It looks like its only hdmi, that why the decimator convert hd sdi to hmdi in the video. Would be nice to know if there will also be a hd sdi version soon?
I'm curious what the the flashing box in de bottom left corner of the monitor is in the demo video? mostly that is where the tv logic says what kind of video is connected, so it looks like it reconnects the whole time or something? Would be annoying if you always have that, can you explain that dan?
furthermore killerprice and looks really good, love the size and simplicity!
with this out simultaneously sdi and hdmi from the epic just moved up the priority list :)
This is probably the same protocol to the unit Red demoed at NAB, a pro version of the WHDI system that uses the (less cluttered by cordless phone / wifi etc) 5+GHZ range but is fundamentally HDMI in/out only.
So the decimator was for HDMI out of the Alexa, not req for Epic or DSLR.
Presume it plays nice with Epics HDMI output formats Dan? as the product page says 'All standard HD and SD resolutions and frame rates are supported'
My fingers hovering over the"purchase button but HDMI is not ideal. Beause the Epic is only either HDSDI or SDI this means you are forced to use crappy HDMI cabling. Also many camera assistants use their own onboard monitors and very few of these work with HDMI. Maybe an Atomos HDMI to SDI but you still end up with one output? Not sure how this would ll on figure but Wow what a price!
nice Dan.
Looks like a nice little package.
Very interested.
pro IO on the brain.. (you know you want it) and the $300 Blackmagic battery hdmi-sdi converter at the receiver end
Sorry I went to bed last night right after posting this. Exhausted from the first day.
The box on the TV Logic is a low battery indicator since I'd been running it for a while on one canon battery. Good eyes.
My three goals with this product were:
1. Quality
2. Accessibility to multiple camera systems and budget ranges.
3. Affordability for our customers.
I know everyone hates HDMI - we are working on some really elegant captured solutions.
It requires 5V Power on either side to run. We include One D-Tap Power supply which also could charge your Cell Phone or iPad from a D-Tap (aka P-Tap port)
The receiver side also requires 5V power and we have a bunch of recommended 5V USB batteries that are not expensive, or you can purchase an additional D-Tap to USB power cable with an appropriate receiver lead.
Please note that range is UP TO 320' Line of sight. Results vary depending on conditions. Generally we've never had a shorter range than 150' even in heavy interference.
We want to make all your wireless HD Dreams come true because we have the same dreams - we built this because its something we needed to use all the time.
Abel Cine and Hot Rod Cameras are our premiere outlets.
www.PARALINX.net is our website.
