Hi Jason - The D-Tap Cable steps down the voltage to 5V at 2A (enough to charge an ipad)

The transmitter and receiver both consume roughly 1A of power - I like to use higher amperage capable because sometimes when at the outer limits of transmission power consumption can spike, and if you are way above tolerances you are guaranteed to have a "better experience" - that being said you can run it with a 1A battery - but sometimes 1A is not really 1A (like a lot of the time with eBay batteries unfortunately)

This system looks great and at the price point and range / latency its a great achievement.

However the lack of multiply receivers is a real killer so I really hope you can get the encryption working for say 4 monitors at a time.
Having only one monitor limits the system way too much.

    Dan,

Encryption to protect from the "wireless Paparazzi" really only offers benefit to a small proportion of users. Even though I work on TVC and network TV the images would be rarely of any interest to outsiders. Switchable encryption could allow multiple recievers but if you had a sensitive job and needed encryptionn you would only then have to deal with one receiver?

+1 for not looking a gift horse in the mouth, getting it out the door as soon as possible and adding it later if possible. :-)

Would it be possible to feed the paralinx from an hdmi splitter.? All I really need is to feed a smallhd monitor for the focus puller and the paralinx for the director.

For me, the problem with HDMI is the roughness of the cable, not your device. Are there other cable solutions that bends Better?
