C300 and EPIC OLED VF Story

I was shooting some B-ROLL for an HGTV show yesterday afternoon on Miami Beach, and a guy comes up to me with his C300 and starts a conversation..

Anyway he starts bragging about his viewfinder and how bright it is.. I just got my new OLED viewfinder and was a bit hesitant to look through his for the fear that it by some feat would be better???

WHAT THE F*$K WAS I THINKING!!

The C300 viewfinder is a piece of SHIT, and I almost felt bad after all of his BRAGGING showing him the OLED BOMB EVF!!! It was like someone turned the lights. color and sharpness on..

Anyway, I was soooooo happy with the performance of the OLED yesterday.. It really was finally the "BOMB".. RED really needs to take the other one off of the website.. It's DUNG compared to the OLED.

How is it better exactly compared to the already awesome BOMB EVF? I just shot a 2 day festival in the heat and granted the blacks were a little milky, still an awesome piece of kit...

I used the Alexa once, and really don't remember.. I remember the viewing size being bigger then the Bomb though.. When RED decides to make another EVF they need to up the viewing size.. It's bordering being too SMALL for me personally.

Your though Justin, I had a look through one at NAB... and did not even know it existed. I shit myself when I put my eye to it, because I thought it was a LCD EVF and the 3 I had back at home were crap !... until they said, no no... its the new OLED model. I couldn't wait to get home to order them.

The image was amazing... and compare to the ARRI ALEXA view finder.. (which I looked through 2 minutes late at the ARRI booth... The RED OLED EVF is a lot sharper and richer.... oh and cheaper.
