Can anyone advise if External Monitoring for Stills is possible in a similar way we do out of FCP?
I have a Blackmagic Decklink and would like to send a feed via its SDI-out from Lightroom, Photoshop, Aperture, etc.?
    any of this possible?

I believe Blackmagic has a photoshop plugin, I know AJA does.

One thing to bear in mind though is that you generally have to be working at your output resolution in Photoshop etc to make best use of it (so if you are monitoring in 1920x1080 you will have to be working on a 1920x1080 canvas in photoshop)

Generally you'll be working with stills in much higher resolution, so unless you are specifically doing graphics for broadcast or stills for display on HD TVs there isn't a lot of use in monitoring in Photoshop etc.
