New Group Buy

This is exciting.

I'm announcing our first GROUP BUY over at Info-Tech. This one is for the Cinema Oxide custom Pelican Case for Epic and Scarlet.

First let me start with the disclaimer:

I am not being paid for this service, I did however get one of these cases in order to shoot the video for it. And I'm keeping it dammit. (Took us two days to make the video after all).

My goal is to offer this service and get people excited about my school, and what we do.. Hopefully that will result in a larger membership in the future. Right now we only have class memberships, but we plan to offer a group buy membership in the near future, after we run a few successful ones.



Ok with that out of the way let's get to the good stuff. We need 20 purchases. Discount is 12% off for anyone who want's in. If you are currently enrolled in RED101 or RED102, then there is another discount on top of that!

Adding your name to the list does NOT commit you to a purchase.. It just lets us know you are interested.

One question I get all the time on this is: Can I get custom cuts for the case? The answer is: "I think so, you'll need to speak with Jason" There would be an extra charge of course.


I'm really excited about this guys.. This is the first of MANY group buys I am setting up (I have 5 planned currently). There is more in the "master plan" but for now we're starting small with this.

Ok we're getting sign ups, and that's cool. But also feel free to post here, since I am not 100% sure our list is working correctly right now. By the way, you will see a very cool 5 pocket netting in the case on the video, I need to point out this is an AFTER MARKET item. Not a part of the group buy.. Good news is that it's only $30 to purchase.

If the Pelican case is group purchase 001 what is the carbonite scope? Is that still in the works?

Good question. As far as I know the Carbonite Scope is VERY much in the works, and will be back. The pelican case is number 1 cause it's the first using the system we've developed. The idea here is that we're trying to make these things easier to start up and execute.

I HOPE to have another group buy running by end of next week. This one is doing pretty well so far.. We're half way to our goal.

Now, why is the Carbonite Scope not the first group buy? Cause no group was needed to buy it! :) It was bascially a discount for people enrolled in RED102 or RED101. That's why.

Yes Mitch you do, but this is not some fantastic training video on Pelican cases, just an overview of what the case has and includes.. I would think if one were not interetested in the group buy, there would be no interest in the video.

The video is not a "pay off" for entering your name and email.

Now if you want to get on the list to be kept up to date on the group buy, you are going to have to go to that page. Personally I think it's better to keep the video and ALL info on the group buy in one place. Now we'll have some poeple running to Vimeo, and others to the group buy site.

Not what I had in mind.. But I was not trying to "trap" anyone.

I've been here a while.. I can understand your concern, but your info is safe.. It'm my business, and the list stays with me personally. No one else. But we're planning a LOT of cool group buys. They will not always be open to the public, but the first few will be.
