I've done kind of a backward workflow since I wanted to start cutting right away and then do a light color pass. I cut in PPro CS6, then exported an xml which loaded okay in RedCine-x. I did a color pass on all my clips and saved to RMD. But when I go to reload the RMD in the source settings in PPro, I'm getting an older RMD than the one I just saved in Cine-x. As a test I trashed the RMDs and went back in to Cine-x and saved them all again so I'd know they were current, but the same thing happened. Premiere loaded up some old RMDs from my first color pass, and not the one I just did. Does it perhaps save them somewhere else? Confused. Ideas?

I just found the answer. Adobe hasn't added a way for the user to specify a master RMD folder (mine is my dropbox folder so they instantly get backed up). So what you need to do if you have specified a different master RMD directory in REDcine-X, is to trash your redcine prefs, restart, select all your clips you want to reload the RMD for in Premiere and hit save RMD. The RMD will be saved next to the clip in your footage folder, which apparently is the only place Premiere will look for the RMD. Dear Adobe, please make this a feature upgrade in the next update. I'd love to be able to specify a different RMD folder for my RED footage. Thanks.

Steve, Please file a feature request for this. User feedback makes all the difference.

I agree that a few tweaks to our RMD workflow would be nice to have.

I had a similar issue and found that because I had master RMD directory in RC-X pro enabled, it wasnt updating the RMD's alongside the R3Ds. I had to drag the rmd's from the master rmd folder to the appropriate clip folder to update the rmd's to the new versions.

Also I noticed that when you select a bunch of clips in PPro CS6 and do a source settings>reload RMD it seems to work but it doesnt work properly and I have to go in and manually load source settings for each clip and then reload RMD.

PLEASE file a feature request along these lines if you would like to see improvements in the RMD workflow -
Let Adobe know what would make this workflow better for you.

i.e. Would you like a pref in PR to always write to the RMD Files?
Would you like the ability to "batch refresh" a number of files so they update from say, REDcineX?
Would you like to be able to access source settings directly from the Timeline?

Not trying to sway the vote - just trying to encourage you to think about your RED workflows and make feature requests!

Submitted a request just to speed things up. Why Adobe needs consumer feedback for some basic features that should be in development (i.e. RC3/RG3 implementation out of labs) is beyond me, but hopefully enough of us can cram the inboxes so we can get this thing going. It's been over a year since this basic feature request was made. I know Adobe doesn't simply cater to Red customers, but it's been quite a long time.
