Hi,
just finished editing 5 min short with Premiere CS6. Shot on Scarlet, all 4K.
I want to export the project for grading. I really like working with TIFF files in grading stage so I have two options:
1) Export 8 bit TIFF files straight from Premiere (AFAIK there is no way to export 16 bit TIFF files from Premiere)
2) Open Premiere project in After Effects and export 16 bit TIFF files from there
Do I gain anything by choosing After Effects route? I mean, what is the real bit depth of Scarlet footage? I suppose it is not 8 bits...
Also, I want to resize the footage to 2K for grading (my system cannot handle 4K). Are Premiere / After Effects resizing methods any good? I really couldn't find where to select resizing method in these apps.
Thanks,
Kamilla
