  1. #1 How to start RedMote in Local mode
Does anyone know if theres a way to have the RedMote power up in 'Local' mode rather than the default 'Remote'. We are using the Redmote (attached) to control the lens Iris in a remotely controlled situation and we don't want to have to remote the Number 2 button to get into local mode every time we power up.
    Hope someone can help.

No, the REDmote will always power up in "Remote" mode.

Hmmm was afraid of that... surely other people need to remote control cameras without using the Redmote wireless..???

It's not clear to me what you are trying to do. What I gather is:
    - The REDmote is attached to the back of the camera
    - The camera (and therefore the REDmote) are in a remote location from the camera operator
    - The operator would like to use the REDmote to control the lens iris

How do you plan on changing the lens iris? Using a slot on the redmote and using the nav wheel on the REDmote? Doesn't that mean you will need to somehow remotely control the nav wheel of the REDmote?

I'm just trying to get a clear understanding of the problem you are having in case I can offer any tips that might help you out.
