Hey Paul,
Let's make sure the key on the right-angle connector points the cable away and does not block any other ports etc.
A straight connector might be a nice option, but whatever... just glad to have it.
Cheers,
Harry

I am weeks away from delivery of my RED and I was wondering if any RED owners are considering forgoing RED batteries and going with Anton Bauer's?
Are the RED batteries are Lithium Ion or NiCad? Are there ATA restrictions that may affect me transporting RED batteries in a carry-on?
Aside from the obvious of Bauer's being the industry standard, is there compelling reason(s) to go with one make of battery over the other.
I understand the Bauer is not currently not supported on screen by RED, is that the only limitation?
So many questions, so little knowledge. Any and all insight would be appreciated.
Peace, out.
Glenn
Thanks phaz. I'm not currently invested in AB's so I suppose the decision is easier to go with the RED batt's.
Do you happen to know if the RED's are Lith Ion or NiCad?
FYI
The new rules for air travel as posted by the DOT which impact camera batteries are as follows:
“Special Case”
Up to 2 Lithium-Ion Batteries, Spare or Installed
(between 8 and 25 grams aggregate equivalent lithium content)
Spare Batteries: Forbidden!
Installed in Devices: Permitted 1
Spare Batteries: Permitted 2
Installed in Devices: Permitted 1
What this means is you must hand carry your spare camera batteries if they are lithium Ion, up to a max of 2 spares and 1 installed on you camera. You cannot pack lithium Ion in checked baggage.
I hope this is of use to RED users.
