I'm both excited and also bitterly disappointed in Apple today.

I LOVE the retina display MBP and agree it could be the best Mac ever designed. However, in terms of performance it cannot remotely compete with the likes of HP's latest Xeon offerings so for now I'm left in a quandary!

I need to replace two ageing Mac Pros now and I see no alternative than to switch back to PC. Apple could have had my money but instead it looks likely to go to HP instead!

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The feature I'm working on right now is using only 3 applications for post other than vfx, which are redcinex pro, avid, and resolve. The only one I'd have to pay for on pc is avid I think. And I'm about to get the Adobe suite, maybe its time to think about building a pc.
