Hello , I have shoot a project with a Red One at 4k, a few shots with Canon 5D. A friend transfer all te red meterial to proress 422 so I could see all the footage easily. I have an Imac . Now I have edit a trailer of the project and I would like to import the original red clips. I know I have to export and EDl, and then import red clips. Hows the process to do this? I have open a new project with the EDL, I have to reconnect the media. Do I have to log and trasfer red clips first? If I do that I wil have to transfer the whole clip, can I transfer from the timeline, only the footage I have edit I mean.

What sequence setting do I need, i guess prores 444, right? why thre is no option for 2K or 4K sequence settings?

    Best regards

I supposed that you have a FCP7, Maybe you need to export the timelime in EDL file ( XML works well ) then you could try "Clipfinder" to consolidate to R3D files. What do you want to do with the project....Color, Resolve, After effects?
