The world is changing rapidly. The competition has awakened. Resolution is now being considered a necessity going forward. Size, dynamic range, frame rates, lower prices and endless possibilities now matter... wonderful.
Behind the scenes, we know the "others" are working feverishly to catch up and stay relevant and are developing new and very interesting things. We applaud this type of effort. Everyone wins when companies are focused on survival and are desperate to stay in the game.
This is the single most ideal situation we could have ever dreamed of. Everyone sprinting to win. We LOVE this. Everyone's best effort. Finally true competition. That brings out the best in everyone.
Look for many new and wonderful things from our competitors in the near future. Exciting!
Now... I have to say, we are working on a few things ourselves. Things that leapfrog reason and defy gravity. We are so excited about the future of image capture that words can not describe.
What a wonderful time to be involved in this industry. Stale evolutionary thinking and complacency has now been replaced by accelerated advancement.
Having said that... and in the end... I'd bet on RED. :-)
