  1. #1 Updated Epic-M : Viewfactor APU-IDX Battery Plate doesn't fit?
I just got my Epic-M back from the upgrade and tried reinstalling the Viewfactor APU-IDX Battery Plate on the back and it doesn't click back down. This is strange since it used to fit with no problems. Anyone have this problem too?

    Salut Jean

Not sure - but it could be related:

On our Epic-X, our plates fit best without the little washers VF gives you (so screw the screw all the way in). On our Scarlets they fit best WITH the washers. . . .

Try with and without and see if that helps

    cheers

With mine I need to pull the APU a millimeter or 2 away from the camera and then push down and it will click right in to place.

On my Scarlet they fit with washers. Just got my Epic X and it didnt fit so I got thinner washers and that worked.

No issues, has been a perfect fit before and after the upgrade.

Not very helpful, Steven. The APU plates work great, and are much higher quality than the MG1. If you don't have anything constructive to add, it's pretty impolite to jump in and try to make someone feel stupid for not picking the brand you bought.

Btw, you mean "should have" not "should of"

Wow. Tread resurrection. I'll add that I couldn't get my VF plate on when I first got it because I lightly tightened the locking bolts on the back of the camera with an allen wrench. BUT it works quite well when I finger tighten the locking bolts. The tolerances are so tight that that can make all the difference.

Correct, i'm sorry. I retract this comment but "Higher quality"??? That's not constructive either, Trevor. I assume both brands are made and build of great quality.
