I'm scrubbing through footage right now in RCX Pro, and for some reason, every time I take a snapshot, I lose my RAM preview bar that I have been waiting to build up for a minute or two, which means I have to wait like 1 min every time I take a snap. Is this correct?

Yeah, I believe it is because the snapshot is rendered as soon as you snap so the debayering goes into that. So then once it exports it must reload again.

    Hi Tom,

Yeah it is quite annoying. I can look at possibly changing this behavior. In the mean time a work around would be to turn off "Render Immediately" in the Transcode settings on the Preferences panel. That way you can queue up all your snapshots and then when ready just hit "Render".

Another option is to create a "Still Snapshot" for each frame and then render out all the stills when you are ready.

    Cheers,
    David

David, that would be great. Usually when I am going through a few TB of data I have shot on a job, I am doing a combination of watching the footage, making snapshots I can send to the client, and making R3D trims for my edit. So if I lose my RAM buffer every time I taker a snapshot, it really slows me down.

Also, can you please tell me, what exactly on my computer is making that RAM buffer bar? Is it literally just my 32 GB of RAM? Is there any way to increase that preview bar?
