    bare in mind the ram in the retina macbook is soldered into the logic board, making it an apple-only upgrade later on.

    I got the same thing for $2600 cash.

    And I didn't have to use student discount.

    Most of us (student) doesn't have cash (lol) - Just a Barkley Visa Card (0%APR - 12 months for apple product)
