Prometheus is an example of visual greatness. Shot on RED.

Wolski did an incredible job. If you ever wondered if RED was up to the task... this is proof.

Ridley's comment was "film grain is so 1960's". Keep in mind that Ridley has shot only film since his beginning... until now.

Wolski and Ridley are shooting RED on their next movie. Wolski's comment... "Epic is the best camera I have ever used".

    We are so proud.

It looked incredible. Went to see it twice. Can't image what it would like like in 4K.

    Congrats Jim and team!

In my world, film grain is a post production effect.. and happily so! I want the cleanest image to start with... then its mine to screw up as I choose.
Thanks Jim and co, I'm always learning :)

Saw it on opening day here in London. Beautiful imagery. I'm having a ton of fun with my EPICs too. Oh the ease to shoot and edit/color/finish RED on a laptop and present it flawlessly.

Kudos to making so many people's daydreams their day jobs...

Seeing the 4K clips of Prometheus after 3 days of REDucation was incredibly badass. Speaking of which, LA REDucation was awesome. It's definitely a game changing experience. If you don't know why to shoot 4K/5K, taking REDucation, meeting the pros, and learning the power of the RED workflow is extremely valuable.

But if THAT doesn't do it for you, seeing 4K footage will show you the light.

RED has a lot to be proud for, meeting and exceeding the visual experience of a 100 year old technology with tools that are about 5 or 6 years old.

Absolutely loved the imagery in Prometheus - thought it was one of the best looking films I have ever seen.
