Hey folks! I just wrapped up working on Dragons 3D: Real Myths and Unreal Creatures. It's currently in post-production and will be a 40 minute docu-fiction piece playing in IMAX theatres (and a few regular cinemas as well).

It's going to have both a 70mm release AND a 2K / 4K release where possible. We had the wonderful opportunity of working with the legendary Max von Sydow. It was his first 3D project, and it was a real treat to shoot him on our Epics. I think you guys area really going to like the project. From the beginning we've embraced the Epic for its outstanding performance in a stereo configuration. The resulting images (a mix of live action and CGI) are REALLY something.

Thanks to the RED team for giving us a most excellent tool with which to make this project happen. As soon as the trailer goes up, I'll post a link. In the meantime I've attached a couple of shots from what's been completed so far. Hope you like it! If you'd like to find out more about the project, you can check out the official website here.

Sounds exciting for you. Do you have any frame grabs available to share that show the Epic goodness? Those frames look all CG. ;-) yes?

Not yet! The straight ahead CGI shots were the only ones approved for release right now. The composited shots aren't ready to go just yet. As soon as they're ready to go I'll update the post and add some of those shots too.
