  1. #1 Premiere to Resolve of Speedgrade
I'm trying to figure out how the heck it's supposed to work. If i'm editing Epic 5K files and then I want to grade the sequence in either Resolve or Speedgrade (rather do it in resolve), how do I export an EDL to make it work?
The only option is CMX3600 and the file names are too long for that.

Also, if I used a nested sequence the EDL is refering to the sequence nested, not the original media. Is there something I'm missing or is Premiere Pro CS6 just super great up to the point you're done with a cut and screwed? :P

    Export an XML.

    Import into Resolve.

    Link to media.

    Pretty simple.

    Speedgrade workflow is

    Export EDL from PPro
    Open in Speedgrade
    Link Media

If you do a send to from PPRO to Speedgrade your going to be writing DPX in the background.

But CMX3600 doesn't handle long file names, how can I relink media? I don't want DPX for RAW material.
Also, if I used a nested sequence in my edit that I'm about to grade, how do it link to the media and not to the nested sequence?

In this case the name is written in the comment. Try it.
