I was reading an interesting article on Deadline.com, it talks about Digital, and why it’s the Saviour of the Motion Picture Industry. http://www.deadline.com/2012/06/chri...l/#more-287601

If you combine this with Mike Mosts fearless forecast(http://mikemost.com/) I think you have a for sure trend. Chris McGurk new distribution system should allow 4k to be setup by a central office with minimal training at the site (i.e. is like a tv scheduling interface at the central office that copies the files, interfaces to ticket systems and configures the projectors). I'd like to see an exact "howto" on using that software for 4k and Independents(probably the main thing is fanatical QC on the movie before it's sent to the central location).

Yes the articles by Mike Most were enlightening, a bit more technical, but diffidently a complement to what Cris McGurk said in his. However I found this on my morning surf through the internet; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...he-Hobbit.html is good to see Red moved over to the “General Press”!

I just saw an interesting gagged; It’s a camera simulator for the Camera Controls of a Canon EOS C300; http://learn.usa.canon.com/resources...ors/c300.shtml It came from an article in “Film And Digital Times”; http://www.fdtimes.com/2012/06/24/canon-c300-simulator/

I think a similar thing for the RED CAMERA “Screen Display” might be a good option; the “RED Touch Screen” which is now unofficially supported by Octamas; http://www.octamas.com/red-rental_e.php “Menu Guide”! It would be available for both the Epic and Scarlet, on-line; for anyone to use, when ever they want too. Just my opinion, but it might be a worth while thing.
