its nice to know this can be done at 6400, but truly the iso 800 had the best results. If you add one stop in post, mask and track only the girl, you could use a layered noise sampling algorithm to keep the black from ghosting by reducing the noise, de-saturating the the yellow from the girls face, find the color channel with the noise in the girls face, which in this case is in the blue channel, reducing that nose and having a more organic feel to it all. my 2 cents

Thanks for the feedback. What would you use to do this? Know of anywhere online I can read more about how to do this?

I agree the denoised footage has a less organic feel to it. I still think my favorite of the 4 looks is the 4th one that I uploaded today. I'd love to what the results of your workflow would look like though.

I can upload an R3D snapshot of this if anyone wants to play with the shot. Anyone know where I can upload it so everyone can download it for free?

Our Kickstarter campaign was a Staff Pick! We were also Featured on Kickstarter's home page and we won Indiewire's Project of the Week with over 70% of the total votes. Our campaign was very successful. The fundraising continues.

you can use www.wetransfer.com to upload the file. Enter your own email address in the send to field. You'll recieve a hyperlink which you can paste here. I believe they support up to 2GB per transfer and they'll keep the link live for 15 days.

    cheers

Ugh...was hoping that wouldn't be the case. While I'd primarily use it in my editor, would be nice to have it in AE for my FX shots.

Very yellow :) The first three stills, which are in the video, are totally ungraded. RC/RG3 and that's all...
