CG&B handle a lot of people here in Toronto http://www.cgbgroup.com/business_insurance/media.html. You can talk to Judi Heron. They know our industry.

I second CG&B. Been dealing with them since the beginning. I've never had a claim myself, but several people that rent from us had incidents with their insurance also under CG&B. Super quick, friendly, and relatively cheap.

Since you shoot all around the world, pay careful attention to the small print. Your policy will probably require specific add-ons when you shoot in the U.K. etc.

    Cheers.

Hi Guys, can you please discuss what you find here. It's a help full thread, and I'd hate to miss something valuable. When you say CG&B is cheap, what is cheap? I have a policy with them and would second Judi Heron being easy to work with, but the policy is freakin expensive compared to the USA, also they made me take out a liability policy on my camera which is NUTS (considering I shoot wildlife in Africa) and expensive. My policy was around $2000. I'd love to find a much better option.

The guys in the states have posted about a company called insuremyequipment.com and they pay about 500$

I third, fourth, whatever - Judi Heron at CG&B. They know their stuff and respect our industry.

I am currently insured through CG&B with Louise. My yearly coverage is under $2000 and I couldn't find anything in Canada in that price range. And it is a big bonus they know the industry and not just selling insurance on "x" value amount of electronics. I would recommend looking into them
