  1. #1 Just got my First Red....
    Hey guys,

    Just got a Red One (Number 181) from a friend of mine and am LOVING this camera.
    I am primarily a still photographer shooting Digital Hasselblad and the red is an amazing piece of machinery. I do not see myself buying a new Hassy this year; instead I think I'll order an epic.

    Question though;
    I just checked the hours on this unit (and being #181 this RED has been around for a while....) and it just says 10 Hours?
    Is there any way this was reset or was this camera really just not used that much?

    Also... is it too late to send this camera in for the MX Upgrade?

    Thanks,
    Josh Nataros

    They still do upgrades last I heard.... You can also send it in and have it checked out for a change of ownership/inspection. They give you a warranty on it whether you get the inspection or the MX...

    Hi

    Is the price for the red one upgrade still the same ~£5000. since the MX is seen as out of date compared to the 5k sensor?
    also whats the word on an update for it?
    cheers

    At this moment, all RED cameras use the same sensor..hardly out of date, Sir!

    I also recently got my first Red One and am also curious to know the answer to his question: Is it possible to reset the hours?

    Firmware updates are always free as long as you're in RED's system as owning the camera.
