The resolution of the Original setting on YouTube is 4K (4096x2304) at 24fps. Very nice indeed.

I wonder how you can film such an event wich ususally use tons of strobes without having to much to worry about split screen effect.

    See you.

    Hey Patrick,

Strobes and lasers are a pain in the ass :D

For the lasers, we usually try not to film right in the lens cause that could be expensive.
Normally we just ignore the lasers and stop filming for a moment... but it's such a nice image you still want to capture it, even if the risk is to high :D

About the Strobes, we play with the Shutter and the iris opening. It reduces the split screen effect.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

If you want to be a part of such kind of event, you should go to Defqon 1 Australia near Sydney in september. I'll be there to.

My favorite part of this piece is the edit. I work in edit every day, it's what I do (I'm a promo producer), and I spend my life appreciating and working to get great edits.

And THIS....is a GREAT, GREAT edit. The shots are awesome, but pretty shots don't mean anything if they aren't strung together in a meaningful way. Clearly you guys shot ALL DAY on 5 cameras, so you probably have 20, maybe even 40hrs of footage across all the cameras.

You guys clearly SCREENED through so much of this, and cherry picked so many great moments. I also love and appreciate the diversity of setups: epic wides, close ups on girls, mediums in slow-mo, cranes locking DOWN, shots straight on, shots from behind....so many angles and sight lines that are WELL THOUGHT OUT, and cut together great.

Trust me. Having cut together tons of promo campaigns from poorly thought out shoots, I can tell you...this doesn't happen as often as you'd think.

But you guys always knock it out the park.

A huge, huge tip of the hat to ya!

    CONGRATS.

    I'm a big fan.
