This post will likely be removed but for those whom do read it, i am being genuine and fair.

    This is terrifying for me.

x has simple SAVED ME multiple times and I don't know how else to say it. THEY have better delivery, customer service and even products along with price across the board.
    You cannot beat that.
This sucks most for us the consumer who needs and depended on x.

Real world situations and productions I have been in a jam 4 times now where I needed accessories as fast as possible and RED was my #1 choice to go to first.
Each time i was not only disappointed but at times felt like screwed.

Either it was on BACKORDER which for years now has been one of REDs biggest disappointments RED is notorious for this.
    or
It would take multiple days to process and get the order shipped even if i paid overnight shipping that did not matter, just shit out of luck.
    or
it was a product not requested by the client as the previous RED products have broken and lost faith with consumers so there have have decided to look in a new direction.

Element Technica used to be the solution but they have focused more on 3D and done very well in their company, good job but no longer are they a direct solution for those of us under pressure to pull a job off.

We all love RED in so many ways and that love far out wins any 3rd party manufacture.
But some of my jobs have only been possible by the help of x
    Simple as that.

Yeah, I get it and your POV is valid as much as RED's is. But they did gank the RED designs bit for bit and tweaked them to sell as their own products. That's a bit of a no-no in America, which is why nobody in their right mind does it here and it's all the rage in Asia.

The reason RED is slower is because they have 2 hurdles - 1) DESIGN and 2) PRODUCTION. Guys like x can just skip directly to PRODUCTION by ripping off the RED designs. It's faster, but not right.

Please do not say that x is ripping off RED designs like it is a fact. It's not a fact. RED is alleging this. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. It's very possible that RED could lose the lawsuit and be proven wrong. It's also possible the two parties could reach a settlement. RED has every right to pursue this lawsuit. x has every right to defend themselves.

Brad- I am simply basing this on the picture vs. picture comparison of RED Patented products: http://cinescopophilia.com/red-sues-wooden-camera/ (you judge for yourself...)

There are only so many ways to design a bolt, a nut, a top plate... They ALL look very much alike.

Anybody else see a similarity between Picatinny rails and SWAT rails? Wouldn't the copyright owner of that design have the right to sue RED?

Honestly I see some differences in the RED and WC products. MadCatz makes video game controllers for PS3, XBOX, etc. They look similar, and I'm sure they didn't spend months researching how to make controllers. To me the view factor cage looks more similar to the red cage http://www.viewfactor.net/products/e...arlet-acc.html, but whatever.
I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on the internet. It's not my place to decide who is right and wrong. This is between RED and WC. I'm not placing blame on either party.
