Hi everyone, given the recent experiences people have with Sergey, I wanted to relate my experience purchasing this lens from Sean Keen. I negotiated with Sean and arrived at an agreement to use escrow.com and ship the lens via FedEx. I have purchased a number of Russian lenses previously and had them shipped via FedEx without incident. However, Sean ran into problems with the paperwork and recommended that we use EMS (standard Russian postal system). The lens arrived last week, but I was on holiday until today and was unable to inspect it. It is in excellent shape and Sean’s description and photographs were completely accurate. I know for many people it seems risky to do business with someone in Russia but I have had nothing but good experiences. I will say that escrow.com is expensive but it does provide peace of mind if the seller does not have a track record. If anyone is interested in more details, please contact me.
