I'm shooting with a Scarlet tomorrow at a Music Festival. Was thinking of having all the camera shoot in 3k/48fps just to have the option of slowing it down in post better, but I want to have a 24fps look for all non slow motion. Will I get this by just dropping 48fps on a 24fps timeline or is there a process I have to do to remove those extra frames. Is this even advisable or possible? Excuse the ignorance hah.

If you're shooting varispeed 48 with your project speed set to 24 in the camera, you could just speed up everything to 200% on your timeline and then slow down whatever you want to be slow motion.

You won't get exactly a 24p look, though, as you'll want to shoot at a shutter speed of 1/96 to have good looking 48fps. So you'll have reduced motion blur when dropping every other frame for non-slomo.
