Has anyone heard of a pistol grip that works to trigger the Epic? Seems it would be fairly easy to manufacture and make a handheld rig a whole lot more useable.
Here is the only thing close that I have found: http://www.madlyfins.com/product.php?id_product=17
but it;s unwieldy, has no mounting points, and is apparently no longer available.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know about Pistol grips, but the box you are linking to is being upgraded to a new model http://www.madlyfins.com/product.php?id_product=22
What about simply using a wired trigger http://reduser.net/forum/showthread....pic+stop+cable

I don't have a straight answer, but this may be a start for you.

There are a few RED accessories still in prototype form I think... wasn't there talk of a bottom handle at some point?

There's a reason there are contacts on the bottom of the side handle, and contacts on the brain for an external fan...

Thanks for the ideas Victor. Your second link lead me to this other possible solution: http://spacecam-accessories.myshopif...nd-controller\
    I'll look into it.

Exactly! I used to own a Bolex with a pistol grip. Even nicer one than your photo. :)
