Does anyone know anything about this camera? Anyone see it at CineGear? I guess they had a 4K projector demo there. http://www.for-a.com/news_events/new...s_1205221.html

From what I can gather, this is a 4096 x 2160 CMOS camera with a global shutter that shoots a 1,000fps (at full res?). The rep in LA tells me the camera is expected in Sept, but there are no demo units available for testing now, even in Japan.

Never heard of it but there's a slew of foreign-made high-resolution speciality cameras that are creeping in on the international markets so I expect we will see more of this one in the next year.

Cost is supposed to be around $120K, I think, and I have been told that the camera can record full 4K at 1,000fps. Waiting to hear back about possible Canon EF mount.

Very interesting camera. What would set it apart, besides the higher resolution, would be better dynamic range performance than the Phantom FLEX.
We are very pleased with our FLEX and it can record beutiful images, but you really have to be careful with the lighting ratio, especially by now when all are getting used to the higher DR of the Alexa and Epic. Also a better viewing LUT would be highly appreciated.

Well, please post your results as soon as you get them Tom. It would be nice to see something like this on the market!
