I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to purchase an O'connor 1030 HDS package. I know B&H offers it, but there has to be a better retail option.

    Thanks

I'm wondering the same thing? Maybe we could set up a group buy?

Call Custom Supply Inc and ask for BJ Purcell. They were the company behind the first O'Connor Group Buy and are absolutely terrific. I cannot say if they still have the discount prices but I'm sure they can still give you a competitive quote. Number is 1-800-451-1425.

The best prices are with BJ at the media supply store. They did the group purchase on the OConnor equipment. The 2060 BTW is much better suited to the Red One. The 1030 has a hard time dealing with how spread out the weight is when everything is set up. My 2060 is like butter. I know it hurts to spend the money but it will not hurt ever in the shooting. The 1030 will be a pain forever with this camera system. IMHO

Yep, BJ at Custom Supply is great, he will help you out and I think they still have their special O'Connor prices going.

If you are interested in a group buy we could see about working something out.

I would be interested as well... though I'm thinking of going for the 2060 myself.

I've heard the 1030 is much worse than the 1030hds. Anyone have experience with both? I know the 2060 is better, it should be better, it's several thousand more and it's a higher product in their lineup.
