Long time reader here, now time to ask and listen-
I have built a workable EPIC rig using the RED Quick Release Platform
and 19mm rods.
The other 2 components of my rig is the PIX240, and the Sound Devices Mix-PreD. Right now I have It all mounted and working off the back, with a WC 19mm Tiny-versal bridge, using adjustable arms. (See pics below, iphone pics, please be nice:) It works, but I am looking for something a bit more solid.
Any suggestions for mounting this stuff without the arms? Talking about solid mounts. Looking at the cages, i don't think they will get me what I'm looking for, I think I'm looking for more of a bracket type system to replace the arms behind the camera. The main purpose of the setup I'm looking to build is to have a definate patterned way to build the rig the same every time. I'm not always available to go out on the shoots, so getting a setup that's easy and simple for someone else to build would be great.
Photos of your setups would be great, I've been to the RED store, WC's store, and others. Its not easy to look at a small pic on a website and see how it would be used, so practical use insights are much appreciated.
Thanks all for the great community, its the users that make it work. Along with the RED team, of course!
