Upgrade help

I am upgrading my firmware and I can't figure out how to get my Red Mag to "Read, Write" Its read only and I can't load the firmware on the mag. On a Mac Pro. What am I missing?

With your ssd in the reader and plugged into you Mac, There will be a red icon on your toolbar(top of screen).
Click on it and choose read and write.
