I sent my camera out on a rental and when it came back the PL mount was so tight I couldn't open it to seat a lens. I have removed the screws and tried to loosen the mount. As soon as I tighten the screws the mount wont open or close. If I loosen (by unscrewing the entire mount and moving to a different ear) the lens doesn't sit tight. If I loosen the screws on the mount slightly the mount will move again but the mount isn't tied into the camera tightly. I tried to adjust the little screw under the one ear and that doesn't seem to help it either.

The 1st AC is no longer in the country and I don't know how to reach him to find out what and how he made the adjustment.

    Anyone have experience with this?

Dan, take your mount off again and separate it. Make sure that the grooved part in the bottom plate - see photo

Nate, It was great to speak to you on the phone. It appears that someone had spun the pinch ring out of calibration and a turn or two past where it should have been, so that the locking ring was too close to the pinch ring not allowing me turn the lock ring. I spent a couple of hours tweaking both the pinch ring and lock ring and I believe I have found the right setting as the lens is tight and the back focus correct. I will need to send it in for proper calibration at some point soon.
