Buying Epic or Scarlet in the UK

If buying the camera from the UK can I get it direct from the London office? Is there a UK pricelist and stock availability? This would make things s lot easier. Excuse my ignorance but I didn't even know there was a London office until just now!

You'll buy from REDEurope.

They're based in Pinewood Studios (closer to Slough than London - LOL) - I used to work at Pinewood myself.

UK prices are plus VAT and also have duty/import costs added to them (as you would have if you imported them yourself).

best thing is to decide what you want and then contact REL (REDEurope Ltd) and get a quote from them - you'll then have exact pricing.

They have a rolling delivery of stock from RED.

It's very easy dealing with the guys there. I ordered my Stage4 at Xmas and most of it arrived mid Feb. That was when backorders of bodies was a lot wilder than now. I'd presume there'll be a quick turnaround as we're 7 months down the line and RED's no longer as back order prone :)

So, for Europeans, there is still not a way to pay directly in Euros, you pay for the dollar-pounds and then pounds-euros conversion ?

Other question : where are the Scarlets repaired ? In Europe and do they have to be sent back in the USA ?

No, from what Alan says, you get an invoice in £ Euros etc.

Stocks look pretty good as I had my scarlet delivered (3 weeks ago) within 48 hours of wiring the money. You can talk to Sam. He is really helpful.
