I have not figured how to batch import the R3D files from the directory structure of my Scarlet. I have only been able to import one file at a time by going to the subfolder of the file and selecting the R3D file directly.

Anyone know the trick to load all the clips from a card folder structure at one time?

    Thanks,

Go to root folder, search for all .R3D files, select all, import.

Put all the subfolders in a folder and drag that folder inside premiere project panel..

Drag the whole folder from explorer into the project folder. PPro complains about non-importable items like rmds. The r3ds are all imported.

(On the mac at least) if you just drag and drop folders of R3D's or use the File/Import command you'll get duplicates if your shots spanned... one copy for each part of the span. The only way to avoid duplicates is to use the media browser. Select your shots and then import that way from within the media browser.

Ah, I see this also happens on windows as well. Yes dragging from the file manager in bulk isn't a good way. Though if the media browser is problematic for some reason, this could be an alternative. It would just have the added step of searching and removing all _002.r3d and _003.r3d files.
