Saw the OLED version out at NAB.

I placed a preorder as soon as I could.

It will be worth every penny.

I definitely agree with that, I was saying, "make a version for people who don't need all that stuff," nothing against the Pro version.

The DP6 had ridiculously slim profit margins. They probably realized that there pricing was to low to remain a business. Saw this new monitor at NAB and it was very impressive.

As the make a data/power port on the back ( the x port) it would be really cool if they would team up with red to make a cable that can go in the evf/lcd port so if used on the epic you can run a single cable :) just dreaming away, but maybe would be possible?

That they've lowered the price in recent months (via the introduction of bundles) seems to suggest otherwise...

My only problem is deciding which one I want...they both look awesome.

What are peoples' feelings about the HB vs. the OLED?
Between the great things we cannot do and the small things we will not do, the danger is that we shall do nothing.

Adding waveform this and transmitter that and charging an absurd premium for it is TVLogic's job. SmallHD is supposed to be the people's monitor.

Give me an OLED screen, an HDMI port, and a battery, for $1800. $2000 for the HD-SDI version. Basically an OLED / larger DP6.

Edit : Oh God, I just saw they've now also added onboard recording and are no longer showing the previously-announced already-too-high price of $2700. Seriously, when did TVLogic buy SmallHD?!?!
    Hey Lee,
Sorry for the confusion. The DP7-PRO HB and OLED are still $2699. Recording is a FREE upgrade on these monitors, with many more cool features to be added via software over the next several months. Also, these are by far the least expensive true HD monitors in their class (1000nit and OLED). We are considering a value line of DP7s (400nit) & OLED as you suggest. If you would like to participate in that process, please sign up for our Surveys at the bottom of this page. We value your continued input.
