  1. #1 Tangent Wave Panel Problem
Having a problem, when using my Tangent Wave in Redcine-X Pro, when using the LGG wheels it works fine, but when I touch any of the transport controls or any knobs (SAT, FLUT etc.), the panel switches to Davinci Resolve controls. Anyone else having this problem, and more importantly, anyone have a solution?

    Tangent Wave build 1.9

    That's a strange issue indeed.

Do you happen to have DaVinci Resolve running at the same time? If so, there could be an issue with that due to the way the communications with the panel work.

Also, what OS are you running on? Could you turn on verbose logging and send a copy in to redcinex at red dot com please?

    Thank you.

Nope, not running Resolve at the same time. Running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I'll send a log. Thanks.

Also, what version of DaVinci Resolve are you running? I just want to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples here.

    Thanks

I have had that happen many times. I corrected it by turning the Tangent control OFF in Resolve. When I do this it sticks with RCX no problem.

When I want to use Resolve I just turn it back on. Got in the habit of doing this and have had no trouble since.

Strange since Resolve isn't even running when it happens, but for some reason it works. Must be a preference file somewhere?

I've seen this on every DIT's system that has Resolve installed on it. Sounds like jim hare's fix works? can anyone test it?

Resolve takes control of the panel, sometimes even if it is not running. It is known.

I don't seem to have any issues, though.

The "fix" of disabling Wave support in Resolve works here in house. In the mean time I've put in a support request with Blackmagic Design. Hopefully we'll be able to work something out with them sooner rather than later.

Right, I guess it's more of a workaround.
