I looked and couldnt find the answer. But when I play back my files in redcine they have audio. When I export h.264 to desktop they don't have any audio. I made sure the audio tabs were checked.. When I dump red file directly into Premier it has audio same when I render in Premier. Just not in redcine. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Bryan,

Lets just check first your export preset. On the Audio tab do you have audio enabled and camera audio channels selected?

    Thanks Bryan.

Please enable verbose logging in the preferences and then run an export on one of your trouble clips. Do a "Save Report" from the help menu and email that to redcinex at red.

    Thanks,
    David

Still unable to get audio on export. Trying to figure out how to get a clip to you guys.. Also noticed today while playing the clip a few times it sounds like a train wreck. Then have to stop and play again and fine.

h264 isn't a direct option in RCX. You must be using quicktime? There are three places for setting audio. On the etc tab when viewing the clip, on the audio tab of the export template settings, quicktime setup/audio settings for the codec.

I just rendered a small clip via qt/h264 and I got audio and video.

Have you tried rendering with any other codec? Try exporting audio through bwf.

Just had the same issue and fixed it simply by restarting the computer. Hope that works!

Are you exporting Linear PCM? If so you need to be sure and make a check box selection under the sample size; Little Endian, Floating Point, Unassigned or Non-Interleaved. If none of those boxes is selected (seems to be the default state), you will get no audio.
