    Ho do people rate the Touros? I was thinking about picking up some myself shooting

    Probably 2x2TB drives in the external one. HITACHI drives have not been good to me. Probably just random (un)luck, but anyway. I always use WD western digital. Never problem.

    I was thinking of the 2tb version of the My Book essential, but saw some mixed reviews

    Just connected via USB 3 and I made 3 partition. why my Disk Test Speed is Write (134.5MB/s) and Read (130.6MB/s)?

    Some usb3 drives behave strange. Sometimes work with usb3 ports, and sometimes just with usb2 ports. This sounds like a mix, write of usb3 speed but read of usb2. I have changed mabye 2 of 5 usb3 drives just because of this. Try a different port or a different computer. On some usb3 drives there is a special cable that eliminate this standard mix with fysical wiring.

    oops.. my Error.. It was Reading at 130.6MB
    I'm using my MBP (Retina) and I'm suppose to be getting above 300MB/s
