Great story Ted. It's a breath of fresh air to read something like this. Just when you start to worry about the industry fading a little - something like this comes along and you realize the game has just changed.
Hopefully I'll be able to get out to india myself some day soon and check it out.

I'm just remembering some posters on REDuser lately that bemoan how their countries (Denmark, Italy... and others) do not want to shoot on Epic for whatever reasons. And here is a story showing India embracing the RED way of shooting with great zest.

I'm thinking that movie-makers from Old Europe may not be able to adapt easily to new things while more adventurous types throughout the world do not have traditions burned into their thinking, and can judge on basis of merit and cost. Of course, there are a number of Europeans who do get it and show up regularly here on REDuser.

I only point this out to celebrate that I've chosen the fresh thinking approach that the Epic and Scarlet bring to the equipment side of movie-making.
One camera is a shoot... two or more is a production.

Thanks Ted for responding to Indian demands and taking red education to India. Happy to say more than 70% of films from Tamil Nadu (Tamil Feature films) where now being shot in Digital with Epic or Alexa and couple in Sony F65.

We are also proud to say that out 1100 screens (roughly in Tamil Nadu) more than 550(Qube) + 250 (UFO) + 60 (PXD) were now showing cinemas in digital projection (Tamil Nadu Alone) which makes our case of moving faster toward digital cinema acquisition than any other state in India.

You really missed our 120fps Digital Cinema 3D Projection from Qube Digital Cinema, test we done to show case capabilities which was shot using Two Red Epics and 3Ality Atom Rig. Hope to show in US in near future.

Thanks once again for considering india as an important destination after Hollywood & UK.
    Thanks

Great event, great response and overall really awesome to experience first hand.
I can't thank you guys enough for doing this and imparting all the knowledge over the three days.

But to sum it all up, I think it's time Ted starred in his first Indian movie!
