I agree that will be great... But Please allow us to have the option of foucs check mode (edge enhanced peaking like feature) on the big screen at the same time as having a menu free picture... Pretty please!!

    Jarred,

Really like what I am seeing here - Pro I/O will be added to my systems in the very near future.

I am curious about two design considerations (pls - no offense intended) plus one operational:

First design question: What drove the decision to have the second monitor tap on top instead of below?
FWIW, if it had been below, we would have been able to extend the cheese plate behind the tactical top... Very useful real estate up there.
(And another RED product in the store to buy!!!)

The next design question is inspired from this thread: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...-adapter-plate
It appears that there are differing standards for the backs of modules - screw holes are beginning to migrate (much like my hairline).
Will RED settle on a common back so that items like the DSMC Backpack could be properly secured?

As far as the operational question:

The Pro I/O has both Genlock and Time Code connectors, but no trigger. If I am using the 3BNC to 00 Sync Cable, which will have priority?
In other words, will attaching the Pro I/O override the EPIC rear connector? We have duplication of GL and TC, but not trigger (unless the GPI can be configured to that function)

    Thanks!

It's too bad the HDMI port didn't make it on the module too for wireless monitoring. But then again I'm sure Red are going to have a solution for that anyway. Now let's see the quad battery module slapped on the back!

Yes, there are RED ONE style GPIO trigger ports on the PRO I/O and you can set priority between "Brain" and "Rear Module" in the UI for the above functions.

With this module, the mighty Epic and Scarlet reinvent themselves! Too bad mine is currently en route to Houston, and my Epic and I are in NYC, DOH! So looking forward the added functionality! Oh and that 8.9" LCD is the second thing on my Christmas list, the first thing: Dragon!

    Very nice.

Are channels 3&4 on the Pro IO reassignable to internal recording channels 1&2?
