Redmote Freezing up

Anybody else having issues with their Redmotes freezing up? Seems like with the latest build my Redmote freezes up more than half the time. I cannot not even manually power it down. To get it operational again I need to power down the camera and wit for the Redmote to to power itself down and then restart the camera. The Redmote is a beautiful little thing but damn if it isn't buggy.

Had this happen today actually, funny. Had the redmote on my cart to monitor media while shooting and day 1 it worked fine but half way through day 2 I looked down at it and it was frozen ( keys could not be unlocked or powered down ).

FYI - you can hold the power switch for a few seconds to perform a hard shutdown. Should help if your REDmote locks up again.

What version of camera and REDmote are you running?

I installed the antenna upgrade, then had to send my redmote in for a stuck enter button. On the first shoot out with a repaired redmote and the new antenna the redmote couldn't hold a connection for more than a minute. It just seems like it will never work. I have also had it freeze as you have and have found that holding the power switch slider as Trent suggested will power it down and resolve it.

Could a Preston FIZ cause interference with the redmote?

Trent, I am using the latest build. I've tried holding the power slider (botton) for more than a few moments and it is still frozen. The only way out is to power down the camera and wait for the Redmote to go to sleep. That takes to long on a commercial shoot so we won't even bother with the Redmote. When it works it's a gem but just way too unpredictable.
