I'm of the opinion that Red can start offering $1200 refunds on all the Red Back Packs sold if they DON'T offer a solution for how to use it with the Pro I/O module. I fully bought into the modular thing idea, but not if $1200 components are rendered obsolete after only 3-4 months use.

Maybe that is why RED hasn't made this module there are so many questions about power of Epic/Scarlet and most of people have to buy V-mount plate from another producer (Switronix, Viewfactor etc). Because now BACKPACK QUICKPLATE for 650 + DSMC BACKPACK for 1200 = 1850 it is too expensive for ability to connect V-mount batteries to Epic/Scarlet.

I think RED thought (and hoped) that REDVOLTs are the future. But they're simply not the answer to every production needs.
That's why we have choices. And now with the DSMC Quickplate Module we will have another excellent choice.

It's not only a question of price. It's simply impossible to mount the backpack to a DSMC module. You can only mount it directly to the EPIC.

Well, to be fair, Jarred did say a month or two. It's only now approaching the "two" mark. Seeing as nothing ever really goes according to schedule, I'm not expecting to hear anything till at least the end of the month.
