How soon could this become available? It's pretty essential if using the pro io and want to use brick batteries or the red backpack system.

Sounds good. This should have been there from the start ;)
P-Tap is definitely a must, make it 2 while you're at it ! I like the USB idea also.
IDX plate would be great, don't compromise on quality on that part.
$1000 sounds a bit expensive though, maybe you can get the price down a bit if there is enough demand...

what also comes to my mind after Setting up a feature with 2 of our EPICs:

a lot of Cinema Accessoires come with RS 3 Pin ( Lemo ) Connectors and Cables. Not always they have a DTAP converted Cable. also a 1-4 DTAP creates additional Cable Clutter

Camera Assistants get really frustrated about this and complain a lot and for this reason suddenly the whole Camera is blamed for being "incompatible / bad / a mess to handle / Cluttered with cables and adapters / difficult" compared to the Alexa for example, which seems so easy for them to connect everything to.

It makes a really Bad image on RED and the EPIC just because of this (hopefully to be solved soon but not yet perfect ) Accessory Power Supply Status.

The Golden Solution for the Module would be next to 2-4 DTAP OUTPUTs also 2-4 RS 3 Pin Outputs and an USB Output
    RAW, well done
