Screen Shot 2012-07-25 at 3.14.40 AM.jpgHad only one frame like this and it was on a new REDMag. I have never seen this before ever with my camera. The only difference is the new mag. Im not so sure its a mag issue as all the other clips in the mag were just fine.
Any info or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can send a .R3D frame to support. I've found that with some firmware releases I would get this purple banding, mostly when using non-standard shutter speed / frame rate combos. The safe rule of thumb of course is that your shutter speed is double your frame rate... I haven't noticed any banding under those conditions.

My Scarlet did this and it required repair. Send an email to RED and they will take care of you. Yes, you can sometimes reload the Firmware and continue to shoot but this is likely a problem with a component in the camera.

While I've not seen a white-ish frame before - I have seen this beauty:

Ultimately it was determined a bad on set copy was the culprit and the error has not resurfaced.

Are you sure it wasn't a bad copy? Do you still have access to the source file on the original media?

I have talked to RED and send a log file from the clip along with the Camera Log file and they want to see the camera. Said they had not seen anything like this.
The bummer is I got the info from RED to send in the camera after a day of aerials around Hawaii. All the clips seem fine except for 2 so far. I hope thats all I find.
I do have the source files on the original media and Ill probably still hold on to them until I hear from RED.

After Red not being able to repeat the problem and reading on another post about some problems with the Express 34 Esata card on someones computer I started to suspect the Express 34 or the esata cable its self. I did some testing and after connecting the REdstation with a FW800 cable all the corrupt files with corrupt frames seemed to disappear....mmmmmm Im thinking now that I need to do some research on what Express 34 Esata card is the best for my MBP 17 i7...
Any suggestions what to start looking at and has anyone else had a problem like this with their Express 34 card Esata??
Stil checking some other possibilities even though its starting to lean towards the 34 card slot.
