    Hello,

I used to be one of the ones always answering concerns from others, now ironically, I am having lots of little, but annoying, problems with CS6. I'm working on a project with lots of Warp Stabilizer applied to several clips. I also need to position certain audio effects at very precise moments matching cues on video, so I had to render all my effects to be able to smoothly navigate through the timeline. But alas, every time I reopen Premiere, all my renders/preview files are gone and the warp stabilizer needs to be reapplied, as it asks to click "analyze" again. I have all of my media caches set up on a fast disk with lots of space so this is not the problem, and I'm at a loss for solutions. I never lost a preview or an effect settings until now, and this is a heavy project which requires over two hours to render, which obviously I cannot do on a daily basis.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Here are some things I would try:

    - Open the project and verify directory settings for the cache locations.

    - Test on a new project and adding in some clips and see if you can recreate it. Then divide and conquer to determine the specific conditions under which it is created. If it is a bug then you have something to report.

    - Load up a system trace to watch files being accessed. On windows you can use procmon (sysinternals). On osx you can use dtruss (command line). This will you show you where it is pulling and writing cache information. Again if you can narrow down the parameters to specific conditions caused by a bug you'll have something to report.

Those last two will provide the most useful information toward finding a solution.

    Hi Rudi,

Sometimes it appears that the clip is not analyzed, but when you toggle the stabilizer on and off in the ECW you can see whether or not it's actually been applied.
You can also check the scale settings if you use auto crop / scale. (it will show a scale of ~104%, for example)

I have noticed that it's sometimes tricky to tell if a clip has been analyzed.

The warp stabilizer should be recorded in your project file itself. I don't believe it relies on any outside / cache settings.

LMK what you find. Maybe the warp stabilizer stuff is being saved? Also if you continue to see the loss of preview files, lmk. We can troubleshoot it.
