The production shot in different color and gamma space for the movie, like some R3D files are in REDgamma and REDcolor, but some R3D files are in REDgamma2 and REDcolor2.

    My question:

1, How to do the settings when I convert them into dpx? by REDCineX.

2, Why the production use different settings for the same movie? For the color consistency, shot should be in the same color space.

    Thanks

    Remove the metadata...
    The raw file will conform.

Thanks William. What tools can "remove" the metadata from the R3D file? I take "remove" as empty or delete information in the file header of R3D file, am I right?

Just to expand on what William said, those settings are not permanent or "baked". You can simply change them in REDCINE-X using the pane on the right side of the screen in the default setup.. They are only used to convert from the raw data that the camera records for display and further processing.
