Seems like all I'm seeing now is thunderbolt expansion. I want to pick up an enclosure for my red rocket that will not limit the rockets performance too much. Whats everyone here using ? Thanks !

    CUBIX XPANDER.
You can fit a few in there.
Need a Mac Pro with space for HBA PCI.

Yes, Cubix Desktop GPU Xpander is what it's called, about $2,000. You can get it with two double-spaced slots or 4 single-spaced slots. I prefer the 4-slot version as it's the same form factor and gives more flexibility in what you can install.

You need a free X16 slot, meaning slot #2, in your Mac Pro.

There is also the Cyclone expander as well. It's a bit more expensive, and roughly the same thing, but gives some more flexibility to configure. It comes in a larger case, and I think they sell it without the case now too or you can transplant it. Some people are running the Cyclone in larger PC cases so they can install a RAID card in it along with another GPU or RED Rocket and have storage or an LTO tape drive right there in the box with the RAID card.
